US Congressman Lloyd Doggett will be hosting a “listening session” for his constituents this Saturday, December 10th, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the Randalls 9911 Brodie Lane (the corner of Brodie & Slaughter).
Congressman Doggett was previously drawn out of his Central Texas CD-25 district as it was turned into a Republican dominated district and Doggett was forced to move to a San Antonio based district and had a tough primary fight in this new district. Now the federal court has redrawn the maps and CD-25 has been returned to a democrat dominated district making up Hays and Travis Counties.
Congressman Doggett has been wary of holding public townhall meetings since this one held in south Austin on the eve of the Obamacare vote.
Since this meeting is touted as a “listening session” maybe the Congressman will listen to his vocal constituents this time….Here is Congressman Doggett’s message, be sure to stop by and give the good Congressman your thoughts, as this is a “listening tour.”
I want to extend a personal invitation to you and your family to come by my Neighborhood Office Hours at this Saturday, December 10th, from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. at the Randalls at 9911 Brodie Lane (the corner of Brodie & Slaughter). At this important listening session, I hope to visit with folks to discuss the many things that have been happening in Washington, in addition to any federal matters on which you think I can be of assistance. I also hope you will feel free to stop by just to say hello!
With so much going on in the past few months, this is as an important opportunity to talk about how I remain committed to protecting the educational opportunities for our youth and the security of seniors through Social Security and Medicare. The best way to ensure that your priorities are my priorities is for me to devote my time to listening and responding. Please come by on Saturday and let me know what is on your mind.
What federal issues are important to you? If you have not already, please take a moment to visit my website at http://doggett.house.gov where you can complete a survey. You can also follow my Facebook and Twitter. I look forward to seeing you this weekend!
