Texas Primary Election Set for May 29th

Texas will hold its primary election on May 29th the San Antonio three-judge federal panel declared today with a primary runoff on July 31st.

The court order sets a re-opened filing period for the primary ballot, which will commence on Friday morning, March 2nd at 9:00 am and runs through Friday, March 9th at 6:00 pm.

The Republican Party of Texas will be accepting filing applications (for statewide and multi-county district offices) at their Austin headquarters at 1108 Lavaca, Suite 500, Austin, TX 78701, for all candidates who are required to file with the State Party instead of their county chairman.

The Travis County Republican Party will be accepting applications for intra-Travis County ballot positions on March 2. They will also file all Precinct Chairman applications they have received to date, and will accept more throughout the second filing period.
